Monitoring of the information society development processes

In March 2011, the Government approved the Lithuanian Information Society Development 2011-2019 Programme, whose task was to set information society development priorities, objectives and targets in order to create a more effective usage of social and economic opportunities provided by information and communication technologies.

While monitoring the Lithuanian information society development processes, ISDC:

• in accordance with the Programme collects information society development criteria means for the assessment, and evaluates their changes;
• constantly conducts research, organises social-economic status reviews, provides information about the development of information society indicators, analyses the rate changes;
• builds an information system for monitoring information society development.
